Christian Service Committee

Secular Franciscans form a community of men and women committed to live the Gospel after the example of Saint Francis of Assisi who was generous and openhanded with everything, but most of all in showing compassion.

The mission of the Christian Service Committee is to study, animate, guide and coordinate the local fraternity's efforts to show compassion to the poor and to those in need. Its efforts focus on three areas: 1) direct, hands-on service to those in need, 2) advocacy and support of institutions and programs that benefit the poor and those in need, and 3) formation of a sense of compassion within our local fraternity.
